National CERT warns all citizens about the current smishing (phishing via SMS) campaign by which a malicious attacker is abusing the name "Telekom Srbija".

Users are sent a fake SMS message from a fake MTS account, inviting them to use their earned points and log in to a suspicious web address: https://mtspoints.com

By clicking on the link, citizens are redirected to a fake Telekom Srbija website, where they are asked to enter their personal data. By entering this information on the fake website, the attacker's ultimate goal is fulfilled, which is to withdraw money from citizens' bank accounts.

The National CERT recommends that citizens not access links from messages they receive from unknown senders, to use the official addresses of the service provider and to report the incident if they have been scammed or if they notice an attempted scam.
