The National CERT of the Republic of Serbia informs and alerts citizens that there is a new wave of frauds targeting users of the OKEGreen platform for "quick profits", offering the possibility of allegedly making quick profits by investing in cryptocurrencies. The aforementioned scams most often reach citizens through social networks ads, where interested citizens are given the opportunity to leave their phone number. This is followed by "personal brokers", "assistants" or "investment advisors" and "mentors" contacting citizens who have left their contact information and the scam begins. An additional form of earnings is allegedly enabled if the platform user recruits a new participant. Users get "tasks", the opportunity to "invest in the stock market", or "clicks that enable artificial intelligence tools training". In some of the above ways and by successfully completing the "tasks", users are promised quick and easy earnings.
The fraudulent platform is currently available at the links okegreen.com, okaiv.com and okegreen.cc.
The National CERT recommends that citizens do not deposit money via the listed links and be cautious when it comes to being offered easy money online.
As platform users were asked to submit photos of their personal documents when registering on the OKEGreen platform, the National CERT recommends that users seek advice from the nearest police station regarding the data they have disclosed and submit a request for the issuance of new personal documents. This will help reduce the risk of further abuse of the platform users' personal data.
