As part of the activities outlined in the Strategy for the Development of Information Security in the Republic of Serbia for 2021–2026, a representative from the National CERT of the Republic of Serbia held a hybrid lecture in Belgrade on October 30, 2026. The session was dedicated to representatives from the business sector, with a particular focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Participants had the opportunity to learn about key challenges and modern threats in the field of information security, as well as practical recommendations for enhancing the security of information systems within business entities.
The lecture emphasized the importance of raising awareness regarding information security, implementing fundamental protective measures and building the resilience of business systems against potential attacks. Given that SMEs are frequently targeted by cyberattacks, special attention was devoted to establishing effective incident response procedures within this sector.
This training is part of the National CERT’s initiatives during October – Information Security Month, a period dedicated to educating various target groups and enhancing the knowledge required for the secure use of information and communication technologies.
Moving forward, the National CERT will continue to carry out educational activities aimed at strengthening the capacity of the business sector and fostering a more secure digital environment in the Republic of Serbia.
