25. June 2018

The European Union Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) organized the 25th Workshop of the Article 13a Expert Group on June 20 and 21, 2018 in Budapest. The Article 13a Expert Group was formed in 2010 to facilitate a process of collaboration between experts from NRAs across the EU, with regards to security requirements for operators of electronic communications networks and services.

Since RATEL has competencies in the field of security of electronic communications networks and services in the Republic of Serbia, defined by the Law on Electronic Communications and the Law on Information Security,  its experts were allowed to join the Article 13a Expert Group as observers.

The key 25th Workshop activities were:

  • discussion and adoption of the Annual Report Telecom Security Incidents 2017;
  • discussion on network neutrality in the information security context;
  • the EC report on the new European Electronic Communications Code, to be adopted by the end of 2018, and the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) platform, which will enable easier establishment of the Digital Single Market in Europe;
  • round table on the network and service security state of play in the countries represented at the Workshop.
