On December 9, 2019, a National CERT's lecture on cyber security was held at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad. On this occasion, the National CERT presented its competencies and position in the area of cyber security in the Republic of Serbia, including two case studies elaborating examples of some of the most frequent incidents. The closing part of the lecture referred to the implementation of modern technologies in the every day CERTs' activities, current challenges and benefits of the cyber security work, including its multidisciplinarity.

Through this activity, the National CERT's collaboration with the academia has been initiated and raising awareness on the importance on cyber security among students and professors has been recognized. This was the opportunity for RATEL and the Faculty of Technical Sciences to include cyber security into the portfolio of joint actions and activities and further enhance their partnership, established in a cooperation agreement two years ago.
